PENTHOUSE Global Media, Inc. launched in February 2016 as an acquisition by veteran entertainment executive, Kelly Holland. The company continues the 50+ year Penthouse brand legacy. The focal point of the business includes four main branches: broadcast, publishing, licensing and digital. Various Penthouse TV channels are available in over 100 countries.
Penthouse Magazine was founded in the U.K. in 1965 by Bob Guccione and brought to the U.S. in 1969. Since its inception, the men’s magazine has been featuring intelligent journalism, exquisite nude pictorials and celebrity profiles with entertainment icons such as Madonna, Aerosmith, Jeff Goldblum, Dwayne Johnson, Russell Peters, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Idris Elba. Penthouse stands as one of the greatest men’s brand in history, chronicling the libido of a changing world and the pop culture that shapes it, while celebrating a fearless approach to sexuality.
Ms. Holland became sole owner and CEO of Penthouse Global Media Inc. (PGMI) in February 2016.
From 2006 to 2016, she ran the operations of Penthouse, first as Managing Director, handling broadcast and content creation for the media group; and eventually as President of Penthouse Entertainment where she also oversaw all licensing and publishing operations.
In Ms. Holland’s prior role as President of Penthouse Entertainment, she developed and implemented the strategic vision for the brand and managed the content division where she: oversaw the launch of ten premiere international channels, including the first 3D Erotic Linear Channels and the first Erotic HD channels in Europe; and developed and created Penthouse Live TV, a live content service and one of the world’s first multi-screen, e-commerce broadcast channels.
Ms. Holland began her career as a journalist in the 1980s, covering Central American war zones, before going on to become an award-winning documentarian. During that time, she created Art Attack, a producer of documentaries, feature films, and reality programming, and opened a production facility in San Salvador.
In 1994, while producing a documentary on the adult entertainment industry, Ms. Holland became fascinated with the genre, and went on to produce and direct over 1,500 adult films. Additionally, she founded Chick Media, a production company dedicated to creating sex positive, erotic programming for women. During the ensuing years, Ms. Holland has worked with companies across the adult industry, including Vivid, Wicked, Adam & Eve, and Playgirl TV where she represented the concept of “Women’s Erotica” in a wide variety of media outlets including ABC’s 20/20, MSNBC, Elle Magazine and The New York Times.
Ms. Holland has won many awards in adult media, including Woman Executive of the Year, Best Adult Company (Penthouse), Best New Channel Launch (Penthouse HD), Best New Channel (Penthouse Black), and the Feminist Porn Award.
Ms. Holland is a sought-after speaker, having given keynote addresses at major organizations such as UC-Santa Barbara, Mensa, and Women in Film. She is a member of both Women in Film and the National Association of Professional Women, and is the Founder and Board President of LA-based Animal Rescue Alliance.

Prior to her position as Executive Editor at Penthouse Magazine, Mrs. Barber-Way was a dedicated journalist contributing investigative features, essays and reviews to the Los Angeles Times, The Guardian, The National Post, VICE (Noisey, Broadly), as well as fashion magazines such as Dazed & Confused, i-D, Vogue, Nylon and V magazine. She also worked as an on-camera host for VICE’s female-focused site, Broadly.
Mrs. Barber-Way graduated from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada with a B.A. in Communications and Gender Studies. In addition, she studied Philosophy at Utrecht University in the Netherlands.
